On December 17th,the School of International Education at Wuyi University successfully held its first International Culture Festival. Representatives of teachers and students from various countries including China, Japan, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Venezuela, and the United States gathered together for a grand cultural exchange event.

At the opening ceremony, Wang Chunyang, Dean of the School of International Education, delivered a speech on behalf of the school. Wang Chunyang stated that the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations is an important driving force for the progress of human civilization and the peaceful development of the world. School of International Education is committed to cultivating high-quality, applied, and outstanding talents with an international perspective, recruiting students from both Chinese and foreign joint training programs as well as international students in China, and promoting the integration of multicultural exchanges. The purpose of this International Culture Festival is to showcase the splendid cultures of various countries, create a campus cultural atmosphere conducive to the exchange and mutual learning of civilizations, and enhance the internationalization level of the school. She hopes that teachers and students will use culture as a means to get to know and be close to each other, contributing their youthful strength to the joint construction of the"Belt and Road" initiative and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Subsequently, students from various countries took to the stage one after another, presenting a variety of programs such as Han-dress shows, ethnic dances, characteristic singing ,and musical instrument performances, allowing the audience to appreciate the unique charm of different cultures. This open, colorful, and integrated cultural feast filled the winter campus with vitality and enthusiasm.

In the cultural exhibition areas of various countries, faculty and students dressed in colorful traditional costumes enthusiastically introduced their national cultures to the audience. They not only showcased the rich national styles but also invited the audience to taste authentic local cuisines, allowing every participant to deeply feel the diversity and unique charm of national cultures.

This International Culture Festival is not only a bright business card for Wuyi University to showcase its multiculturalism but also a gathering and dialogue of cultures from around the world within the campus. "Knowing each other is not about distance, even ten thousand miles are still close neighbors. "Teachers and students from all over the world meet at WYU, starting from here, to learn from each other, know each other, be close to each other, and join hands to step onto a broader world stage.
